Eighteen tools,
each one in
the week you
need it

Nothing is taught for the sake of the list. Every tool here does a specific job on a specific week, and you learn it at the moment that job comes up.

Notion AI

Organising findings so week 2 has something to build a scoped MVP from.

Design

Weeks 3 to 6 · 5 tools

Where your screens get designed and your design system lives. Weeks 3 to 6 mostly happen here.

User testing. Putting the prototype in front of real people and getting numbers back.

Stitch

Component generation, for getting a first pass on screen furniture quickly.

Build

Weeks 7 to 10 · 6 tools

Cursor

The AI code editor. This is how someone without a development background produces a working app.

v0

UI scaffolding. Getting from a Figma screen to running interface code.

Supabase

Backend and auth. Accounts, database and file storage, deployed in week 8.

Expo

The native app runtime. One codebase, both app stores.

In-app purchases, for the students whose app needs to charge for something.

PostHog

Analytics, so that after launch you can see what people actually do.

Launch

Weeks 11 to 12 · 4 tools

Framer

Your marketing landing page, live before the app is.

Runway

Launch video and motion assets.

App Store optimisation and launch copy. The same tool from week 1, doing a different job.
